Delicious dips to accompany your BBQ

Forget about shop bought dips! Reduce the amount of plastic at your next BBQ by making your own tasty salsa & hummus.
1.Spicy Salsa
Ingredients:
1 medium red onion, finely chopped
2 beef tomatoes, finely chopped
20g fresh coriander, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, grated
2 red chillies finely chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
Method:
Add all the ingredients into a bowl and stir until mixed.
Place in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours and it’s ready to serve!
2.Homemade Hummus
Ingredients:
400g can chickpeas, drained
1 tsp ground cumin
2 cloves of garlic, grated
2 tbsp tahini paste
1 tbsp lemon juice
Paprika to sprinkle (optional)
Parsley to sprinkle (optional)
Method:
Using a hand blender or food processor, blend the drained chickpeas to a smooth consistency.
Add the cumin, garlic, tahini paste and lemon juice to the chickpeas and blend until creamy.
Add mixture to a bowl & sprinkle paprika & parsley on top for a bit of added flavour. Enjoy!
